Why Friday Scramble?

On the Fridays before INTA, we gather in the morning for a quick breakfast reception, to play golf in a 4-ball scramble format where up to 4 in a flight form a team, with all members hitting each shot before the team collectively chooses the best shot to play from (including the putts) resulting in a single team score where the teams of 4 compete against other flights for the honour of IPFO Scramble Champions!

Our IPFO Scramble format reduces pressure on individual players, is fun, and fosters teamwork and networking amongst follow IP professionals in a friendly competition between flights at golf courses near the conference location that is usually not more than an hour by car from the convention centre.

Players may have handicaps up to 36.

*The next IPFO Friday Scramble will be held in London on 1 May 2026 at Moor Park Golf Club and is limited to the first 100 registrants.

*We are now at capacity for all events! Thank you everyone for your resounding support. If you intend to join us and have yet to apply for your spot, you may still fill in the form to join the waitlist.

IPFO Thursday Matchplay

For the competitive golfers who just can’t get enough, we now organise another golf day before the Friday Scramble, where we play a team four-ball-better-ball format.

The Thursday Matchplay golfers will be split into two teams according to their home jurisdictions (e.g. East vs. West). Each flight will consist of one match between two teams of two players worth one point.

Within each flight, the two teams of two will compete heads up against each other hole by hole. The team with the lower nett score on each hole wins that hole. The pair that wins the match wins one point for their team.

Male participants should have handicaps of 20 and under, female participants may have handicaps up to 30.

*The next IPFO Thursday Matchplay will be held in London on 30 April 2026 at Stoke Park Golf Club (or equivalent) and is currently limited to the first 40 registrants as an add-on to the Friday Scramble.

*We are now at capacity for all events! Thank you everyone for your resounding support. If you intend to join us and have yet to apply for your spot, you may still fill in the form to join the waitlist.

Thursday Welcome Reception

IPFO Golfers catching up at a Networking Reception

Location: Somewhere in Central London

We heard you. A big thank you to our wonderful community for your invaluable feedback.

This coming 2026, IPFO will be organising a welcome reception in Central London on Thursday evening after the Matchplay to create more networking opportunities for our community to mingle amongst like-minded individuals, trade stories and friendly banter before the Friday Scramble.

Results for the Thursday Matchplay and prizes will be given out at this gathering. Each IPFO Friday Scramble Registration Fee will entitle our participants to one ticket to this reception. If you would like to bring an accompanying person, this is possible. Please indicate this in the form and we will invoice you accordingly.

We estimate that the welcome reception will start early at 6PM on Thursday evening, where food and beverages will be served. This should give everyone enough time to rest before the Friday Scramble the next day.

*We are now at capacity for all events! Thank you everyone for your resounding support. If you intend to join us and have yet to apply for your spot, you may still fill in the form to join the waitlist.

Sponsorship Opportunities

IPFO Participants on the tee with a teebox sign from our Gold Sponsor Fovea IP, The sharpest Eye on IP!

Are you keen about maximizing your brand awareness among the IPFO golfing community?

Earlier this year in San Diego, we opened the event to sponsorships. The event’s success was without a doubt due to the generous contributions of our sponsors.

The IPFO community is growing exponentially. Sponsors will receive lasting exposure for their brands that are immortalised in pictures, consistently activated through regular engagement in our WhatsApp group which has grown from about 100 to over 200 in just one year, as well as etched on this website till its next annual update.

More importantly, these financial contributions directly support the event operations, such as the networking events, prizes, and significantly enhance the overall event experience for all participants.

If you are interested in being a sponsor, do indicate your interest in the form or reach out to Jose (jtrigueros@lmt.mx).

Basic (Bronze) sponsorship starts from £400 and all sponsors will get priority for the Thursday Matchplay which is currently limited to 40 participants.

*We are now at capacity for all events! Thank you everyone for your resounding support. If you intend to join us and have yet to apply for your spot, you may still fill in the form to join the waitlist.

  • Many of our participants this year will be staying at their own hotels in Central London to avoid the hassle of having to move after IPFO to your INTA hotel.

The golf courses are relatively conveniently location within an hour of Central London.

The recommendation of our British friends is to stay along the Elizabeth Line.

The Welcome Reception will also be somewhere within Central London

  • We will not be chartering any buses because it is more convenient to take an Uber/Bolt from your own hotel in Central London to the Golf Courses which will not more than an hour away especially ahead of our early morning tee time.

We suggest using our WhatsApp Group to coordinate transport once you know where you will be staying in London to create another invaluable networking activity.

  • We highly encourage our participants to bring their own equipment, especially if you’re a left-handed lady, because such sets are impossible to procure.

However, if you request for a right-handed men’s set, we should be able to procure rentals for under £100 per day.

Please bring your own golf shoes!

While we try our best to procure sponsorships for the event that may include some balls, please bring more if you think you’re going to need them.
